Living better, spending less.
This week has been, and probably will continue to be, very shopping-heavy. Yard sale this weekend. :) I am not even showing the Walmart trips! I am just getting tired of arranging all my purchases on the floor before putting them away. Did I tell you that Evelyn lined up some of her toys the [...]
I love my Sunday morning shopping trips. They’re so nice! The CVS stuff is at the top and the Walgreens is at the bottom. I went to Walgreens first so I’ll start with that. While I was at Walgreens, I gave the link to this blog to my favorite cashier. Hi, Cynthia! She gave me [...]
I went shopping out of town today and had such a nice time! I went with my couponing friend. It’s so funny because I spend something like $16 for everything I bought all day long (and Target overcharged me by at least $3.) Well, not counting lunch. I don’t have pictures because.. well, because I [...]
I usually shop in the afternoons, post-nap, but I went out this morning in hopes of being unfrugal, and buying a hardback book released today (Dreamfever, by Karen Marie Moning.) I was sadly thwarted, as they didn’t have it, or at least they didn’t have it out yet. Boo! I meant to ask someone about [...]
I haven’t much felt like getting out this week, but I did meet my couponing friend this morning for a stroll through a park and then to Walgreens. Because really, what trip isn’t complete without stopping in at Walgreens? OOP: $29.71 (4.83, 11.86, 6.51, 6.51) RR spent: $12 (4, 4, 4) Total OOP: $41.71 RR [...]
This is an absurd thing, but a few weeks ago, I made a new friend. At CVS. She had a baby and some coupons and so clearly, we had a lot in common! So I gave her my email address and it turns out we DO have a lot in common. It also turns out [...]
My Kroger trip would make for a better show-and-tell, but I didn’t have time to take pictures of it and now the cold stuff has already been put away. I bought 22 Covergirl eyeshadows, 2 bottles of Aussie conditioner, two Glade plug-ins, a Toaster Strudel (apple!), a half gallon of OJ (Minute Maid–not on sale, [...]
I have been a wee bit lazy about posting my shopping trips of late. I think this is because I’ve been doing a little more shopping than usual and it gets a little overwhelming just to even display everything for taking a picture, much less writing lengthy posts about. I went to Walgreens first. Total [...]
Since my dear, sweet, loveable child decided that sleeping was out of fashion on Sunday night and therefore was awake from 1:50 a.m. until SIX IN THE MORNING, she slept until 11:10 and I knew there was no way she’d take a nap anyway, I took off for the next town over to have lunch [...]
Aren’t the Kroger Mega sales fun? I took another little trip Friday night for the following items: Total price: $5.53. That would be thirty boxes of mac and cheese, plus four bags of cheese and two sour creams, along with the gloves and soap and salad dressing and biscuits. Before all the other coupon magic [...]
When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
