$5/$20 at Save-A-Lot

In: Life

Do you shop at Save-A-Lot? If you do, how about saving $5? If you sign up for the Smart Shopper Club, you can get a coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase.
(Credit for this goes to a bunch of different bloggers, but I personally saw it at Money Saving Mom.)

Walgreens – 11/11

In: Life

So of course I am still shopping, even if the posty posty is a little lax these days. Through the summer, I was doing more shopping and deek-seeking than I am now, but I’m still going at least to Walgreens once or twice a week. I went on Sunday morning this week to get a [...]

Excuses

In: Life

I am really upset with myself for neglecting this blog. I know WHY it’s happening but I can’t quite figure out how to fix the problem. My daughter stopped napping, and it has thrown my schedule out the window. By the time she goes to bed, I have to do everything–including shopping preparation, paperwork, [...]

I won something!

In: Life

I received a $10 check in the mail from the Huggies Enjoy The Ride program today! I won it in one of their little games a couple of months ago, but I was beginning to think that there had been a glitch in the system and the win hadn’t gone through. But sure enough, [...]

It hurts to even think about it…

In: Life

…but I did three transactions at Walgreens with a subtotal of $25.42 tonight, and I didn’t have a single $5/$25 coupon with me. I wasn’t planning on stopping in, or actually even leaving the house today, but we headed to Walmart and an impulse led me to run in there and pick up a [...]

Silly

In: Life

On Sunday, we went to Walmart and bought a pile of stuff and paid about $21 (we checked out separately due to Walmart’s policy to require a manager to approve transactions with $50+ in coupons–easier to avoid that situation than to deal with it.) On the way home, we were pretty self-congratulatory, listing everything [...]

Walgreens, 9/15

In: Life

There is something pretty wonderful about shopping for profit.
( I would like to stop taking pictures at such a steep angle so you can’t see the front of anything very well, but that would require me to clean up too many toys from my living room floor.)
OOP: $16.77 (2.21, 5.65, .88, 3.71, 2.71, 1.61) [...]

Yard sale results

In: Life

I had my stockpile yard sale this weekend, which is possibly the last one of the season. It went really well, and we made $1,425 in two days. My base goal was to break a thousand, so I am thrilled that we brought in as much as we did. It was so much fun!
On [...]

Thursday, 9/3 – Daily Total

In: Life

Last Wednesday, my mom came down to visit, and when she left, she took Evelyn with her to spend the night. It was a momentous occasion. On one hand, I had not been away from her for more than about four hours since she was born (she’s almost 28 months old!) but on the other [...]

CVS Summer Clearance Shopping Trip

In: Life

There are a lot of fun things about having a couponing friend. This picture is an example of one of those things–someone who will let you know when things go on clearance. This was not marked down yet when I was there yesterday, as far as I saw.Total OOP: $3.49 (1.62, 1.87) [...]

About this blog

When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
