Yes! Start now! It will be so great to not have emergency diaper runs, especially when you know that you paid so much less than retail. :) And you're right, in this context, smelling a plan hatching is kinda gross. :)

The couponing scene is kind of complex, but so worth it. The best way to start is one little bit at a time anyway, so starting with diapers is as good as any place. I started with one store at a time.

In my defense, I DID pick up a package of ultra-reduced clearance price baby swim diapers, already. For, like, next summer. Thinking ahead.

Okay, I need to do this. Need, need, need. I thought I was doing well the first time around, to buy Target brand diapers instead of Huggies or Pampers. And I WAS paying less than I would for full price name brand diapers. But I am starting to accept that I could do SO MUCH BETTER.

It is kind of scary, the whole couponing scene. Intimidating, because it seems really really complex. But maybe the diapers would be my foot in the door. Learn the ropes, so to speak.

And HEY! I just thought of this: I could totally start NOW. I mean, I don't have to wait until March when there's likely to be a baby. I am fairly confident that I will have a baby, and I am supremely confident that any baby in this house is going to require diapers. Ergo, I could start shopping now and not even have to THINK about it when I'm dealing with a newborn, too.

Ooooohhhh, I smell a plan hatching. (ick. that sounds gross.)
