Living better, spending less.
Shopping post time! I actually shopped almost all day on Sunday. After the morning run, I came home to put Evelyn down for her nap (which took almost the entire naptime in itself) and then after she woke up, I took her out to Rite Aid and Walmart in the next town over just so my hubby could spend a little time in his workshop in peace. (Evelyn thinks she is allowed to be out there any time he is!) Alas, this is the only thing I took pictures of.

The Mitchum deodorant ad coupon did not come off, so I’ll return it. I handed her the ad coupon to begin with. It beeped and she said that it had already been taken off. That’s been happening lately with a couple of certain ad coupons so I didn’t question her, but I specifically asked then if it rang up as $1.99 on the receipt, so she fed it forward, checked and said that it had. Guess what? Not so much. (I should add that my favorite beauty advisor was on vacation so I had to check out up front.) The Irish Spring I bought for my parents (which my mom paid me back for today) so in the end, this will be a profit of $3.39, but minus those three items. Honestly, I was expecting more but I did have to buy a bunch of fillers to use up some Register Rewards. I need a good filler week soon.
When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
