Living better, spending less.
I love my Sunday morning shopping trips. They’re so nice!
The CVS stuff is at the top and the Walgreens is at the bottom. I went to Walgreens first so I’ll start with that.
While I was at Walgreens, I gave the link to this blog to my favorite cashier. Hi, Cynthia! She gave me a Friends and Family discount card for tomorrow, so I guess that means I will have to go back tomorrow and buy more stuff… a shopper’s work is never done.

I have to defend my CVS trip a little bit. I discovered while I was in line that I had $12 in ECBs about to expire on Tuesday, so I had to do a little last-minute shopping. We are completely out of liquid hand soap, and the crackers were on sale, etc etc. So, I paid more out of pocket than normal for that stuff, but much better than letting them expire. Oh, and I still can’t believe I actually paid money for that Tide stain release stuff, but I have a two-year-old and I really wanted to try it. Originally, the overage from the Glade candle/reed diffuser ($5 total) would have covered it, before the second round of shopping.
Oh, and those crackers are better than Cheez-its, by the way.
When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
