Living better, spending less.
Don’t forget about the free food from Schwan’s that I posted about here! It is open to the first 50,000 new customers and it appears that the limit hasn’t been reached yet. I received my order (Fiesta Lime Chicken for Two) this morning–much faster than I expected, really. I’ve heard that the ice cream is really good but since we are trying to stop eating so much ice cream, I was responsible and bought something else. The reviews are good so I’m looking forward to trying it soon!
(My parents laughed at me after I posted that, and reminded me of a particularly persistent Schwan’s delivery guy that they inherited when they bought a produce market a few years back. They seemed to think that $10 in free food isn’t worth the hassle. However, this guy seemed to get the picture when I told him that I would order something else from the website when I required it, but wouldn’t be ordering from him regularly. I have also heard that if you can’t get rid of your delivery person, you can contact the Schwan’s corporate office and they will take care of it. Personally, I don’t answer my door for anyone I don’t know, so if I end up having a problem with it, I will just stop answering the door for him, too.)
When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
