Funny story.  I read about the possible free Bushnell weather forecaster at Money Saving Madness (thanks to Michelle for that!)  last night, and I thought “oh! I need to go look for those because I bet my dad and my husband would both really like one!”  So I headed out this morning, intending to go to Walmart to find some if I could.  I got sidetracked and stopped at Walgreens first (surprise, surprise) and as I was walking in the doors, my phone rang.  It was my dad, calling to inquire as to why I hadn’t posted anything in a couple of days.  (Sorry, Dad!)   He had checked this morning and, seeing nothing new to read, had clicked through to one of the blogs linked in my sidebar and found… you guessed it.  The post about the Bushnell weather forecaster.  He was calling to tell me about it, and how he was planning on going out to Walmart later to pick one up.

I guess that’s not what he’s getting for Christmas after all.   ;)

But, since I no longer need to make sure that he doesn’t hear anything about this deal, I thought I might as well post about it. It’s a fantastic rebate, and this would make a great gift.  Well, it would make a great gift as long as you were giving it to someone who wouldn’t mind a missing UPC code.

Right now, Walmart has these weather forecasters on sale for $50, and there’s a $50 mail-in rebate valid for items purchased from 7/1/09 to 8/15/09.. The rebate form was actually taped to the front of the item in my store, or you can download a copy of the form.  This is limit three!
