Living better, spending less.
This is really an anti meal plan more than an actual meal plan. First of all, my parents are going to be camping in town this week, starting on Wednesday, and so I am not making any plans for that time. I figure that Evie and I will be spending most of our time over there with them, and even if I were to make it home in time for dinner (which is unlikely) then I’m still probably going to be too tired to cook. That just leaves Monday and Tuesday, and so we didn’t even bother going to the grocery this weekend.
(My husband might disagree with that statement, as he had to go to Kroger three times on Saturday morning due to a series of errors on our part. We had friends over and decided at the last minute to cook something. We maybe should have just gone out to lunch instead.)
Anyway!
Meal Plan (such as it is)
Monday: homemade pizza
Tuesday: mac and cheese, steamed veggies. maybe sausage, if M is really lucky
Wednesday: no plans! probably something delicious, cooked outside
Thursday: no plans! no firm plans, anyway. I have an idea but I haven’t run it by the parents yet
Friday: no plans! probably something else delicious!
When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
