Living better, spending less.
Last week, spring hit us with a dose of sunny happy goodness, and we went out for dinner twice. That’s pretty unusual for us these days, and while it wasn’t exactly frugal, we had two separate evenings of quality family goodness. Then we left for the weekend before cooking the pre-scheduled meal on Friday, so I only made two out of five meals on last week’s list.
Meal Plan
Monday: ziti with roasted vegetables
Tuesday: slow-cooker paella
Wednesday: ham and potato casserole
Thursday: beef burritos
Friday: unscheduled–I’ll be out of town all day for my niece’s eighth grade graduation
Today feels like a Sunday so it’s kind of a shock that I remembered to post this.
When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
