Living better, spending less.
I was too busy to write a meal plan this weekend, so here I am on Monday, trying to get the week planned. I did some grocery shopping on Saturday with no plan, and that means that I’m most likely going to need to go to the grocery again. That’s a waste of time and effort, and probably money as well. The more often you go, the more you buy, most of the time. That’s another reason that meal planning makes sense!
Meal Plan
Monday: cheddar potato soup (yum! also, two bowls of leftovers makes two days of lunches !)
Tuesday: Mexican rice
Wednesday: homemade pizza (never got around to making it last week)
Thursday: fettucini alfredo with broccoli
Friday: quesadillas
Evelyn got really upset this evening because the soup was taking too long to cook. “Eat soup! Eat soup!” Silly baby!
When I became a stay-at-home-mom, I promised I could save our family money by shopping sales and maybe even using a few coupons. I had no idea what I was getting into. These days, I am on a first-name basis with the cashiers at the local drugstores, I haven't paid for toothpaste or shampoo in over a year and I spend my free time here, helping others do the same. So please, make yourself at home while you learn how to save, and when to spend!
